McLAURIN FAMILY at WALBUNDRIE

Last Sunday was a special day at Mass for the McLaurin Family, residents of 'Fairfield', near Bidgeemia. James and Janelle and their daughters Amelia, Yvette and Claire were accompanied at Mass by James' Mother Joan, now a resident of Mercy Place in Albury.
Joan, an old time resident of the Walbundrie district, joined her family at Mass and afterwards at 'Fairfield' to celebrate the third birthday of her Granddaughter Claire.
When the previous road bridge at Walbundrie over the Billabong Creek was damaged in a flood in 1929, Joan and her sister, who were twins, were the first to cross over the new bridge when it opened on 4 February 1931.
When the McLaurins attend Mass at Walbundrie, the three children take up the Offertory collection, along with other children present.
After Mass, the McLaurin family and friends returned home to 'Fairfield' to celebrate Claire's birthday.
